Croom Tucker Hill Day Use Area

Nestled in the Withlacoochee State Forest, Croom is our most extensive and highest elevation trail system with over 50 miles of single track. This system is like no other we maintain with its natural limestone pits and varying terrain. Most of the trail system is not very technical but longer distances combined with extended climbs will get your heart pounding and your legs screaming. For those who want more than just distance and climbing there are several challenging trails on the northeast side of the blue loop and southern comfort off of the red loop. As this property is a WMA tract, please be aware of when hunting season is and be sure to wear bright clothing while riding. If you come across hunters on the trail be courteous. Please report any issues to Forestry and FWC. Hunting season and general information can be found below.

Trail Information
General:
This network of single-track forms two loops of
12 and 35 miles. Actual trail length, including connectors, is over 55 miles. There are three connector trails that allow combinations of the two loops. The connectors (red signs) total ten miles in length (total). By using the red trails one can ride 7, 12, 20, 25, 35 or 42 miles.

Hunting Season: Each Wildlife Management Area in Florida is different and has its own rules. Hunting with a tree stand is permitted during hunting season, again depending on the management area. The tree stands are not usually allowed to be there until a day before the hunting season starts and should be removed after the season has concluded. Many of the Wildlife Management Areas across our state are open to multiple user groups which does at times cause conflict. These areas are meant to be shared and respected by each user group keeping safety in mind at all times.
We recommend your users to go to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission webpage at https://myfwc.com/ and review their link regarding hunting. Their site also has a link to every brochure for any wildlife management area in the state that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission manages which lists the season dates for any hunting permitted on the particular wildlife management area allowing the individual to choose when they want to be on that particular management area.
