The Carter Road mountain bike trails are located at Loyce E. Harpe Park near Lakeland, FL.  Like other central Florida mountain bike destinations, the single track at Carter Road is built on the rugged terrain of what was once a phosphate mining site. Currently there are about 13 miles of trails at Carter Road.  The trails meander through the woods are around the old phosphate mine borrow pits.
